When we got our table rectangle looking the way we wanted, we saved a "master" copy just in case we needed to get back to this point. From here on, the steps required were basically making copies of the "table" and cropping to get the 8 images needed. We created the following 8 image "slices":
Top Left Corner Top Middle Top Right Corner
Left Middle Right Middle
Bottom Left Corner Bottom Middle Bottom Right Corner
We started by making three copies of the main table graphic, and then cropped each of them into rows - Top, Middle, & Bottom. The height of each row slice depends on the size of the effects used. Here we chose a height of 16 pixels for the TOP and MIDDLE, and 24 pixels for the BOTTOM, which allowed us to get the complete shadow effect.
Next we made enough copies of each row image so that we could slice each row into the 3 images needed for both the Top and Bottom rows, and the 2 images of the Middle row.
