Samsung Instinct & the Opera Mini 3.1 Browser
Using the techniques on this site,

I have set up my Instinct to use the Opera Mini Browser.
In reading the forums, many folks are having issues with the built in browser crashing a lot. Although it has some issues, I've never (knock on wood) experienced any troubles with it.
It is a pain to use, mostly because it does not word-wrap anything, so you have to scroll left/right as well as up/down. I am resorting to this work around until Sprint/Samsung get their act together.
This takes a little doing - the toughest part is that using Opera Mini on the Instinct, you have no way to type in a web address - so basically everything has to be done via bookmarks.
Read the article for all the details. I can tell you that finding a post on the EPSN site is futile.
Instead, I used my PC and searched in the Opera Mini forums and found one here

done by someone on July 22.
I then used my phone to navigate to the My Opera bookmark and scrolled down through the Opera Mini forum until I found the July 22 post.
I used that link to get to and bookmark the instinctbookmarks.blogspot.com site - where I then used my PC to add a comment with a link to this page - if it's' still there, it is dated August 12 at 12:24 PM, posted by Anonymous.
Once I got to this page, I bookmarked it on my phone - now I can always get to, edit, delete, create as many bookmarks as I want.
Here's my current list of links that I want/need on my phone:
Give it a shot - it works much better than the built in browser - hopefully the upcoming update for the Instinct will resolve the issue with the built in browser - and/or allow us to run Opera Mini 4.x on our phones (as of today, the 4.x only runs once, then hangs on the loading screen).
A nice addition to your bookmarks should be

This site provides a keyboard to use for typing in web addresses. It helps, but still a kludge as it won't help with web forms, etc.
